This is a brilliant story Graham, thanks for sharing it. It couldn't be more relevant to me right now as I make new opportunities and choices. What I don't know is whether or not one has to progress sequentially through the Five Principles ? I have been working hard in recent months to take control of a situation that for many years has got me down and kept me down. I have done that with some success and I would now like to be even more self-determined and ambitious and in so doing up the stakes so that I stand to gain bigger rewards but with higher risks. Is it possible that I can progress from a Karl state to a Konge state or must I adopt the Herse and Jarl attitudes first ? (I think understanding correctly that there is a hierarchy to the principles). Instinct tells me that there are different situations and times when I may well need to be 'in' any or all of the states and that it is the awareness that I bring to any situation that matters. Am I right ?

Stav has drawn me because it is a complete system within itself, both physical and non physical. After only doing the rune stances for a couple of weeks, I find myself becoming more focused; the physical affecting the mental. so much so that I've made the decision to undergo a year break from my current studies to focus on Stav. What better time of the year to start than Summer Day ... Blessings to all on this special time ... Tony

Hi Graham, I'm really enjoying your blog posts and my Stav stances and the beginnings of staff exercises. This blog is an inspiration when doubts appear ... Have emailed you about these. I've tried several times to regularly write a blog and realise how much effort it takes to keep it going, but I urge you to carry on, these are a great motivator..... Tony
